Employers and their immigration counsel/attorney may register foreign nationals for the FY 2022 H-1B cap lottery between March 9 at noon EST and March 25 at noon EST.
It is expected that the USCIS will receive a huge number of online registrations during this period, possibly due to the anticipated changes in the lottery system next year (replacement of computerized random lottery with wage-based preference system).
Due to the expected high numbers of online registration, technical slowdowns may happen. Hence, it is suggested not to wait until the last day to register foreign nationals/candidates for the online lottery.
It is important to note that before the immigration counsel/attorney can submit an H-1B cap registration, the employers must promptly review, approve and e-sign the registration.
